Tell is a blog organized by a team of graduate students in coordination with the Department of Gender, Women's and Sexuality Studies (GWSS) at the University of Iowa. Tell was originally created in 2018 by GWSS students and Dr. Maryann Rasmussen with a focus on political arts and social justice.
This year, graduate students began work on the blog as a class project for the Fall 2020 graduate seminar, "Foundations of Feminist Inquiry." Currently, we publish critical essays, videos, podcasts, and interviews covering important issues in feminist theory from a range of disciplinary perspectives. Together, our class wrote a series of collective principles for the blog. We use these principles to guide the form, content, and spirit of submissions and the editorial process.
