Professor Lisa Heineman (GWSS and History) has an essay titled "The Early 20th-Century German Trans-Rights Activist Who Was Decades Ahead of his Time" included in the recently released book The Conversation on Gender Diversity, edited by Jules Gill-Peterson. The book is a look at gender diversity in the twenty-first century and the intricate and intersecting challenges faced by trans and nonbinary people.
