Prof. Kristy Nabhan-Warren (GWSS, Religious Studies, and VPR) has been selected to receive the 2023 Distinguished Teaching Award by the American Catholic Historical Association for recognition of excellence in teaching and mentoring in the field of the Catholic history.
Selection was based on "how creatively and generously you have supported younger scholars and worked to stretch our understanding of classroom education, research, and scholarly life to be more capacious and inclusive. Your work in community-engaged learning with undergraduates, as a dedicated advocate for your doctoral students, and as a mentor for emerging scholars in your NYC book series, are only some examples of your generosity and care."
The award will be presented at the 2023 Annual ACHA meeting in January 2023.
Congratulations, Kristy!
